Klarned started as ManagedWPhosting.nl in 2012 by Ramon Fincken. ManagedWPhosting was the first WordPress managed hosting provider in The Netherlands. This grew into the Klarned brand in 2024. We offer managed hosting with our own servers in Europe. Klarned provides 100% GDPR safe hosting (also known as AVG and DSVGO in the Netherlands and Germany).

We offer hosting from shared hosting till tailor-made managed hosting using modern state of the art stacks giving you high end hosting without any fuzz. Smooth and solid, as it should be.

Ramon (owner)

Ramon Fincken is the owner of Klarned. Together with his team, he provides hosting and helpdesk services. System administration is outsourced, allowing everyone to focus on their strengths. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, a hobby that brings him peace and connects him to nature.

Ramon entered the Open Source software world in 2004, with the forum software PhpBB. Today, he’s one of the few WordPress hosting providers who is also a WordPress Core developer.

He continuously fine-tunes the platform and contributes to the WordPress community through code, documentation, blogs, meetups, and WordCamps, earning recognition within the official WordPress Core team.

Annelies (strategy)

Annelies has been working as a marketeer for over 15 years. She now focuses on strategy, inclusion, and accessibility, and supports Klarned by wearing logo hoodies and shirts at events.
